More cost effective than rivals such as the BMW X5 or the Volvo XC90, the QX60 comes in two trims – the entry-level Pure trim and the Luxe trim which adds a few important extras.

Those extras include a heated steering wheel and a monster of an in-car audio system that comes complete with 13 speakers. Other options include ventilated front seats and adaptive cruise control. For that little bit extra you can include the Essential package which adds aided navigation features, illuminated doorsills, automated windshield wipers and a 360-degree camera system.

Life behind the wheel of a QX60 is calm, composed and comfortable. Your passengers will feel comfortable too as the QX60 glides along, taking any bumps or dips on the road in its stride.

The RWD version of the QX60 offers 27 mpg for highway drives and 20 mpg when you are hopping around the city. Again, like all models in the QX series the conversion to AWD does not cost the earth in terms of fuel consumption, at 26 mpg (highway) and 19 mpg (city).

Fans of the Pathfinder will recognize the interior of QX60, but of course it is an upgrade on Nissan’s classic SUV. The front seats are heated and the second and third row seats comfortable. Extra care of your passengers on those long hauls can be taken care of with the Luxe model which has dual 8.0-inch displays for entertainment in the back. The cargo capacity is not as great within the QX60 as with some of its rivals, but the available space should suit all needs.
