INFINITI QX50 vs. Lexus NX

If you spend much time behind the wheel, why not spend that time in luxury? That’s what many motorists have decided and why sales of luxury vehicles have never been healthier than they are now. People in the market for a luxury vehicle often turn to Lexus – the luxury brand of the Japanese motoring giant Toyota – when they are looking for a classic luxury car.

Did you know that Nissan has its luxury vehicle brand too? Well, it does, and it is called INFINITI and is a brand that recently celebrated its thirtieth anniversary. The INFINITI brand makes vehicles that are just as luxurious as Lexus. Still, without the premium price, you pay just for the privilege of driving a vehicle with the Lexus badge emblazoned upon it.

To convince you that INFINITI vehicles are just as luxurious and dynamic as their Lexus counterparts (and indeed, in many aspects, are an upgrade), we will directly compare two equivalent vehicles. It’s time for our INFINITI QX50 vs. Lexus NX comparison.

INFINITI QX50 vs. Lexus NX – A Direct Comparison of Price, Power, and Performance

Of course, the purchase of a luxury vehicle is inevitably likely to hit your bank account hard. That does not mean you should splurge for the sake of it, and remember that a decent chunk of the purchase price of a Lexus NX is the Lexus badge itself. While the price difference between the INFINITI QX50 and the Lexus NX is not as stark as the difference when comparing other equivalent INFINITI and Lexus models, you are still likely to pay more for the Lexus NX than you are for the INFINITI QX50.

In terms of power, there is no doubt that the Lexus NX is the less powerful vehicle out of the two, although the Lexus NX is the less hungry in terms of fuel consumption. The Lexus NX has a 2.5-liter I4 engine, compared to the INFINITI QX50’s 2.0-liter I4 turbo. The INFINITI QX50, though, can generate 268 hp with 280 lb-ft of torque, compared to the Lexus NX’s wimpish 203 hp with 184 lb-ft of torque. If you want to feel the power under your pedal, then the choice here is obvious – go for the INFINITI QX50.

Continuing the INFINITI QX50 vs. Lexus NX Comparison – Which is the Better Vehicle?

In terms of comfort and space, the INFINITI QX50 is the winner. With all the seats in place, the INFINITI QX50 can offer you a maximum of 31.4 cubic feet of storage, which easily beats the Lexus NX with only 22.7 cubic feet of space. If you fold down the second row of seats, though, the available space for both vehicles is identical at 65.1 cubic feet.

Regarding legroom, the front legroom for both vehicles is the same, but moving to the second row, the INFINITI QX50 again is the winner – 38.7 inches to the Lexus NX’s 36.1 inches. Tech-wise, both vehicles come Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ready, although the INFINITI QX50 has in-car WiFi, which the Lexus NX lacks. The Lexus NX does have the larger infotainment screen, though – 9.8 inches to 8 inches.

Instead of taking our word for it, why now find out just how fantastic the INFINITI QX50 – or any INFINITI vehicle – is to drive by contacting the Charlie Clark INFINITI dealership in El Paso? INFINITI QX50 vs. Lexus RX350

The Lexus name automatically springs to mind when people consider purchasing a luxury vehicle. The luxury vehicle market is much more saturated than you may realize. There is now a luxury brand for nearly every automobile manufacturer that you can think of.

Nissan has been in the luxury act for some time with their INFINITI brand. Created primarily for the North American market in 1989, Nissan’s INFINITI brand has been selling high-quality luxury vehicles for over thirty years.

Suppose you are thinking of purchasing a Lexus as your new luxury vehicle. In that case, it will not hurt you to at least look at Nissan’s INFINITI vehicles, particularly if you want to make a substantial saving on the MSRP. Here we make a direct comparison of two comparable luxury vehicles – INFINITI QX50 vs. Lexus RX350 – to see which vehicle comes out on top.

Luxury Vehicle Comparison – INFINITI QX50 vs. Lexus RX350 – Who is the Winner?

People buy luxury vehicles for that luxury feel as opposed to a cramped car that they can barely squeeze into, and here both vehicles have plenty to offer. Both front and rear passengers in the INFINITI QX50 and the Lexus RX350 have plenty of legroom, and both cars will be a hit with tall drivers as they have plenty of front headroom too. No matter your choice, sliding into the front seat of the INFINITI QX50 or the Lexus RX350 will leave you feeling that you’re at the height of motoring comfort and luxury.

That luxurious feel extends to all passengers you may take along in your INFINITI QX50 or Lexus RX350, but when it comes to luggage capacity, the INFINITI QX50 is a clear winner. The RX350 can only offer a tight 32.6 cubic feet of luggage storage, which is significantly less than the INFINITI QX50, which can provide around 64.4 to 65.1 cubic feet of luggage storage, so if you are constantly hauling around suitcases as you hop from city to city, the INFINITI QX50 would be of considerable benefit to you.

Continuing the INFINITI QX50 vs. Lexus RX350 Comparison – Power and Performance

Both the INFINITI QX50 and the Lexus RX350 come with the options of AWD and FWD. In terms of engine size, the Lexus RX350 does have the more powerful engine, but such is the performance of the INFINITI QX50 that it’s a difference that is barely noticeable. The RX350 has a 3.5-liter V6 cylinder engine coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission capable of 295-hp. This is compared to the INFINITI QX50’s 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with continuously variable transmission that can make 268 hp. This power – as well as the Lexus name – is what you pay that extra $5,000 for when comparing the MSRP of the Lexus to the INFINITI QX50, so you have to ask yourself, is less than 30hp extra worth the outlay, especially as the QX50 has a significantly smaller turning circle that the Lexus RX350, making it much easier to maneuver. The INFINITI QX50 is also eight inches shorter than the Lexus RX350, making parking much simpler.

The INFINITI QX50 is the winner in several categories in our INFINITI QX50 vs. Lexus RX350 comparison, primarily in the manufacturer’s suggested retail price and luggage capacity. Why not discover the brilliance of the INFINITI QX50 yourself? Visit the Charlie Clark INFINITI EL Paso dealership, check our inventory online, or – even better – call us to get the ball rolling on your INFINITI conversation. Why it Makes Sense to Lease a Luxury INFINITI Vehicle from Charlie Clark

If you've been wondering if you should buy or lease your next INFINITI sedan or SUV, you should know some of the perks that go along with both. Buying is great for people who put a lot of miles on their cars or those looking to hang onto their cars for more than two or three years. But if you like driving around in the latest INFINITI model or if you're looking for a slightly lower monthly payment, then leasing might be the best choice for you. To help our customers decide which option is best for their families and their budgets, we've put together a few of the most common benefits of INFINITI leasing.

A car lease is a type of new-car financing. Unlike buying, you won't own the car at the end of the lease. Instead, you have the option to turn the vehicle in or purchase it for a predetermined price. Many leases are short-term, from two to three years typically, and give drivers the freedom, flexibility, and fun of driving a new car every few years.

Less Money Down

It's always advisable to put some money down when buying a new or used car, however, when it comes to leasing, many people find that they don't have to put down a large amount, if they have to put down anything at all. This means that shoppers might be able to get into that new INFINITI QX80 they've had their eyes on sooner than they expected.

Lower Monthly Payments

Payments made toward buying a car are higher because they're based on the full value of the vehicle. Leasing is different in that you only pay for what you use. That means only a portion of the vehicle's value comes into play. This is why you hear people say that you can get "more car for less money" when leasing. Essentially, a vehicle that was out of your price range can suddenly become easily attainable. In some cases, you may even be able to get a new INFINITI for the same price as you might pay for a late-model-year used car.

Minimal Maintenance Costs

Whether you are buying or leasing, it is imperative that you maintain your car with services like regular oil changes and tire rotations. When you lease, though, you'll find that your average maintenance and repair costs are generally lower because of the new car warranty that should cover a variety of parts and services your vehicle might need.

When leasing a luxury car or SUV, you can enjoy the confidence of having warranty coverage for most if not all the years in your term. INFINITI's bumper-to-bumper coverage lasts 4 years/60,000 miles, while the powertrain warranty lasts 6 years/70,000 miles.

End of Lease Options: Buy-out or Trade-in

This is another big perk that many shoppers love about leasing, especially if you're always clamoring to drive the latest INFINITI model. A typical lease lasts around 36 months, meaning that you can simply turn in your car when your lease term is up and drive home in a brand-new INFINITI. So, if you're looking to drive a car with the latest safety and technology features, we recommend INFINITI leasing all the way.

Top Reasons Why You Should Buy a Certified Pre-Owned Infiniti

When you love the Infiniti brand, but you would prefer to purchase a pre-owned vehicle instead of a brand new one, the Certified Pre-Owned Program offers Infiniti lovers the great experience of owning an Infiniti. After all, nobody wants to drive home with an unreliable vehicle! A Certified Pre-Owned vehicle is a luxury vehicle you can depend on for years to come. We’ll break it down and explain just what goes into qualifying an Infiniti as a certified pre-owned vehicle and why buying one might be right for you!

Differences Between “Used” and “Certified Pre-owned” Vehicles

A used vehicle is any model that has been owned or leased by at least one previous driver. All certified pre-owned vehicles are used but not all used vehicles are certified pre-owned. A certified pre-owned vehicle is a model which has passed extreme manufactured-designed tests and falls within certain age and mile limits. They also offer additional benefits to drivers! Infiniti Certified Pre-Owned vehicles combine true peace of mind with the exceptional experience of owning an Infiniti at a pre-owned value.

Making the Cut

Infiniti maintains exclusive requirements for their Certified Pre-Owned vehicles. Just because a car is an Infiniti, doesn’t make it acceptable for the Infiniti Certified Pre-Owned program. Every pre-owned Infiniti must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Infiniti-certified technicians
  • A clean title history
  • Sales date within six years
  • A Carfax vehicle history report be made available for the vehicle

Confidence is enhanced through Infiniti’s Certified process, which begins with a vehicle that was crafted to their exacting standards. Infiniti retailers will begin by evaluating a vehicle's history using multiple databases. The warranty database is researched to confirm warranty eligibility and the Carfax database reviews over a dozen title categories before a vehicle moves to the next step for a thorough mechanical inspection.

The Certified Inspection is the template utilized by Infiniti-trained technicians to examine all major vehicle components. The checklist covers over 167 items, including the engine, drivetrain, chassis, brakes, steering, and suspension. Infiniti also requires a thorough road test and an extra detailed inspection prior to listing the vehicle as Certified Pre-Owned.

Infiniti Certified Pre-Owned vehicles include a factory-backed, 6-year unlimited mileage warranty. The limited warranty, backed by Infiniti, also covers all major components and is inclusive of powertrain coverage.

When you are ready to purchase an Infiniti vehicle from the Certified Pre-Owned program, you can rest assured that you are getting a vehicle that meets some of the highest standards in the industry. A Certified Pre-Owned Infiniti includes benefits such as:

  • Up to 6 years unlimited mileage warranty
  • Complimentary first year’s basic maintenance
  • Comprehensive 167-point inspection
  • Carfax® Vehicle History Report™
  • Carfax® 3-year buy back guarantee
  • Available Infiniti Elite™ Extended Protection Program

Infiniti also offers a long list of extras as part of its Certified Pre-Owned program. You will get 24-hour roadside assistance for the duration of the CPO warranty, a Complimentary Service Courtesy Vehicle when servicing your vehicle with Infiniti, and a free three-month subscription for SiriusXM® satellite radio.

Throughout the duration of your Certified Pre-Owned Limited warranty, Infiniti provides you with a 24-hour roadside assistance package. The roadside assistance package helps give you additional peace of mind when you’re out on the road whether you’re in need of towing assistance, car rental assistance, and even trip interruption reimbursement! For the duration of your limited warranty, a qualified representative will assess your needs and dispatch assistance for a jump start, flat tire change, out-of-gas delivery, and lock out assistance.

Buy with Confidence

Every Infiniti Certified Pre-Owned vehicle comes with a complimentary Carfax® Vehicle History Report™ and a three-year Carfax® buyback guarantee! What makes it even better you might ask? You can view the Carfax® report on any Infiniti Certified Pre-Owned vehicle in inventory, at no charge to you. Based on information from more than 86,000 data sources, the Carfax® Vehicle History Report™ includes information about title information, including salvaged or junked titles, flood damage history, total loss accident history, odometer readings, and the number of owners.

Elite™ Infiniti Extended Protection Plan

Beyond the coverage of Infiniti’s Certified Pre-Owned program, also available to you is the Elite™ Infiniti Extended Protection Plan. It provides the added security of:

  • Optional coverage of up to 8 years / unlimited miles
  • $0 deductible for parts and labor for any covered repair
  • Transfer of benefits to new owner should you decide to part with your Infiniti

Comparing the Infiniti Q50 vs BMW 3-Series

Choosing between the 2022 Infiniti Q50 and the BMW 3 Series is a tough decision. Both vehicles bring a lot to the table in terms of comfort, style, and luxury. In addition, you’ll get a sporty, compact feel with both, augmented with a sleek design and top-notch manufacturing. These compact executive cars hold tremendous appeal on their own. However, their standout qualities show significant differences.

Performance

The Q50’s standard 3.0L turbo V-6 produces 45 more horsepower (300HP vs. 255HP) and 1 lbs.-ft. more torque (295 vs. 294) than the 330i’s standard 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder. The Q50 Red Sport 400’s standard 3.0L turbo V-6 produces 18 more horsepower (400 vs. 382) than the M340i’s standard 3.0L turbo V-6 hybrid. That’s packing a lot of power and potential torque into a compact sedan. With the Q50’s Intelligent AWD system, you have control as the driver and can send up to 50% of available power up to the front wheels for better traction. You’ll enjoy sharp handling, a refined turbocharged engine, plus a responsive automatic transmission for a dynamic driving experience.

Infiniti Q50

Comfort and convenience

The Q50 has 1.5 inches more front headroom, 2.5 inches more front legroom, .7 inches more front shoulder room and 1.5 inches more rear shoulder room than the 3 Series Sedan. Similar cargo sizing can be found with the Q50 and the 330i. While the BMW 330i presents you with 13 cubic-feet of cargo space, the Infiniti Q50 provides you with a little extra space thanks to the maximum cargo capacity of 13.5 cubic-feet. With the BMW 330i sedan, you can enjoy amenities like the SensaTec upholstery and Anthracite headliner, but for an upgraded experience, consider sliding behind the wheel of the Q50. The Q50 Sensory/Red Sport 400’s standard easy entry system raises the steering wheel and glides the driver’s seat back when the door is unlocked or the ignition is switched off, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The 3-Series sedan doesn’t offer an easy entry system. In addition to the easy entry system in the Q50, you’ll get to embrace amenities like the Infiniti intelligent key, dual-zone automatic temperature control, and a sequential welcome lighting entry system.

Technology package

The Q50 sedan continues to be easy on the eyes throughout its modern interior. Confident design elements include long angled lines that stream down the center stack and high-end materials. The dashboard holds stacked digital display screens that grant access to the navigation system, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and many other features. The BMW 3-Series takes a different approach with a layered look across the dashboard. The top layer holds the infotainment system’s display screen. Air vents and climate management controls follow this.

Safety features

Both the Q50 and the 3 Series Sedan have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available all-wheel drive, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning. For enhanced safety though, the front seat shoulder belts of the Infiniti Q50 are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The BMW 3-Series sedan doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

Price

While the MSRP comes in slightly higher for the Infiniti Q50 at $44,100 compared to the BMW 3-Series at $42,950, you must consider all the costs that come with owning one of these two vehicles. According to The Car Book by Jack Gillis, the Q50 is less expensive to operate than the 3-Series sedan because it costs $63 less to do the manufacturer’s suggested maintenance for 50,000 miles. Typical repairs cost much less on the Q50 than the 3- Series sedan, including $510 less for a water pump, $294 less for a muffler, $91 less for front brake pads, $136 less for a starter, $89 less for fuel injection, $41 less for front struts and $470 less for a timing belt/chain. Insurance will also cost less for the Q50 owner – the Q50 with a number “1” insurance rate, while the 3-Series sedan is rated higher, at a number “3” rate.

Infiniti Q60 is the Luxury Sport Coupe America Has Been Wanting and Waiting for

Expect another evolution in the perpetually fluid luxury sedan division that drivers will love more and more every time they take the wheel. Turn on the spotlight and get the orchestra warmed up; a gorgeous compact car carrying a ton of easily accessible infotainment capabilities and driver-assistance technology is ready to take center stage. Settle into your seat; this is a solo you're not going to want to be in the bathroom for. The Infiniti Q60 is the luxury sports coupe that America has been wanting and waiting for!

Daring, award-winning design

Infiniti has some of the best designed luxury vehicles on the market. You can see how well designed Infinitis are compared to the rivals – just look at an Infiniti versus a Lexus. It will be obvious. Edmunds reports that the Q60 is still one of the sharpest-looking models in the luxury coupe segment. However, if you want top designers’ and the organizations they belong to for a second opinion, there's a relatively comprehensive list that no other luxury car can match. The list is endless, but the Q60 won the prestigious IF Design Award (Germany) – a symbol of excellent design around the world.

Incredible, award-winning performance

Named in 2018 and 2019 Ward’s 10-Best Engines, the Q60 is powered by a VR-series 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6. This cements the Q60’s position as Infiniti's premier luxury coupe with performance potential. The high-performance Q60 RED SPORT 400 turns up the wick to 400 maximum horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 350lb-ft across the same slice of the rev range. Twin turbos that spin up to 240,000 rpm enable that performance and deliver on-demand response.

Advanced and exclusive technologies

The Simmons National Consumer study surveyed Infiniti buyers and found that Infiniti drivers are more than twice as likely as the average person to have the latest advances in car technology. Examples of these latest technologies include Infiniti InTouchTM infotainment system, Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, Infiniti Safety Shield®, and Intelligent Key.

Excellence in fuel efficiency

Infinitis have been known to show up on the top fuel-efficient publications regularly.  For instance, Autotrader named the Q60 one of the top 7 most fuel-efficient luxury cars you didn't know, having an average rating of 19 MPG city and 28 MPG highway.

Three comprehensive grades at affordable prices

The sleek Q60 coupe comes in three luxurious trims: PURE, LUXE, and RED SPORT 400. Edmunds reports that the Q60 is one of the most affordable vehicles in the luxury coupe segment, and that the Q60's PURE trim has an appealing starting price for a premium coupe. Pricing starts around $42,000 for the PURE trim. The mid-level LUXE retails for about $50,500. Performance driving enthusiasts will love the RED SPORT 400, priced around $58,500. TrueCar.com reports that few competitors can deliver the same value for the Q60's low price.

Infiniti ranked #1 in Customer Satisfaction Index

Infiniti earned top honors, ranking No. 1 in Customer Satisfaction with Dealer Service among Luxury Brands by J.D. Power 2018 Customer Service Index (CSI) Study. Overall, Infiniti achieved a CSI score of 876 on a 1,000-point scale, 48 points above the industry average and 14 points above the premium segment average. In every category within the study, Infiniti ranked in the top tier among premium brands.

Isn’t the Q60 the luxury sedan you’ve been wanting and waiting for?

All these awards and accolades are America’s way of showing that they prefer the Infiniti brand and moreover, the performance and value found in the Infiniti Q60. As of February 2022, the Q60 was again recognized and given the prestigious 2021 Best Value in America award. Come to Charlie Clark’s Infinity of El Paso and see the Q60 for yourself. Comparing the Infiniti QX80 vs Lincoln Navigator

Whether you're taking a quick ride to see a show at the Plaza Theater or star gazing on an off-road trail in the Big Bend Region, you need the right vehicle to get you there. The Infiniti QX80 and Lincoln Navigator both put a luxurious, family-friendly spin on rugged performance. How can you choose just one? These full-size luxury SUVs both have so much to offer that you might not know where to begin. Luckily, we've got the specs to help you decide.

Performance

At first glance, the Lincoln Navigator may look a little more enticing than the QX80, as you'll get more horsepower courtesy of the Navigator’s 450-HP 3.5L twin turbocharged V-6. But if you dig a little deeper, you'll see why the QX80 has opted for its naturally aspirated 400-HP 5.6L V-8. Not only do you get more power to tow up to 8,500 pounds (compared to the Lincoln's 8,300), but you'll also have the assurance of trailer sway control. In addition to better towing capacity and trailer sway, the Infiniti QX80 also comes with forged 22" wheels (not available on the Navigator). The forged element ensures that the wheels grip the road as much as possible, even when the SUV is under pressure. These wheels ensure better handling for the driver, and they're strong enough to ward off every day wear and tear.

2022 Lincoln Navigator Manhattan Green Black Label. Preproduction model shown with available features. Available early 2022. Available at participating Lincoln Black Label Dealers only.

Comfort and convenience

When it comes to high-end cruising, it’s nearly impossible to choose one of these SUVs over the other. Both the QX80 and Lincoln Navigator attract a crowd with three rows of roomy seating, high-end cabin materials, and luxurious options. Both models appeal to your senses with different color leather upholstery options, wood trim, and heated and ventilated front seats. In the QX80 however, all riders can enjoy an auto air circulation feature that senses and eliminates odors. While this is recommended for everyone, it's especially valuable for those who have allergies or underlying breathing conditions. Finally, the QX80 comes packaged with soft, semi-aniline leather seats, one of the most luxurious materials on the market today.

Technology package

Both luxury SUVs come standard with an impressive list of infotainment features and modern safety aids. But it’s the QX80 that stands apart. We like its dual touchscreen take on infotainment. Other standard features include Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone connectivity, a 13-speaker Bose® stereo system, and navigation. If you want, you can always upgrade your audio experience with the optional 17-speaker audio system. The Navigator’s infotainment system doesn’t offer dual screens, but it does include a 10-inch touch-screen interface and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. If you want navigation, you’re going to have to pay extra for it.

Safety features

The QX80 also delivers more in standard safety aids. While both SUVs feature forward collision mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist at no extra cost, the QX80 also throws backup collision intervention, object motion detection, a 360-degree parking camera, and adaptive cruise control into its standard lineup. These elements are designed to give you more control on the road, so you don't have to worry about every sudden event.

Price

The QX80 is known for its posh cabin, rugged capabilities, and family-friendly space. But it’s equally loved for its relatively thrifty price tag. In the luxury SUV segment, anyway, the QX80 is a great deal, starting at $69,050. The top-tier trim model starts at $83,300, an MSRP that’s equally attractive. Any way you look at it, the 2021 Lincoln Navigator will set you back thousands of dollars more. At the low end of the MSRP range, the Navigator starts at $76,185. Top-of-the-line models start at $101,325.
